The Royal Oak Architectural Competition

is held biennially and awards $15,000 for study and travel in Great Britain.
The winning applicant is selected based on his or her ability to resolve a
hypothetical architectural project created by a professional architect or designer.

The focus of the competition is on the
three areas of architecture, landscape
architecture and interior design and the
integration of these parts into one design that
answers all questions posed by the project.

The goal of the program is to expose the
winner to The National Trust, and Britain's
vast design heritage and resources.

In
turn, the winner will be able to enrich his or her professional and intellectual
development and bring this knowledge to the design profession in the US.
