Sunday, April 12
Depart New York on an overnight flight to Brussels.

Grand Place, BrusselsMonday, April 13
Arrive in Brussels and continue to the splendid Amigo Hotel where we will spend three nights. Join an afternoon orientation walk on the Grand Place (left), one of Europe's most beautiful public squares. Dinner is at the hotel.

Tuesday, April 14
This morning visit the Museum of Fine Arts to see one of the world's finest collections of Flemish paintings. Lunch is at leisure before a walk to the nearby Coudenberg Archaeological Site. A fascinating visit underneath the Place Royale allows us to discover the remains of the former Palace of Brussels. The evening is at leisure.



Wednesday, April 15

We are invited for a private tour of the Landmark Hotel Sôlvay, a restored Art Nouveau residence of Mme. Wittamer-de-Camps. Designed by Victor Horta, it is one of the few key masterpieces of this style. After lunch at leisure, discover the David and Alice van Buren House, with a wonderful Art Deco interior and a collection of paintings from the 15th to the 20th centuries. The lovely gardens surrounding the house were designed by René Péchère. Dinner is at one of Brussels' finest restaurants.

Thursday, April 16
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Brussels before departing for The Hague. En route we will stop for lunch at a lovely manor house. After our gourmet meal, drive through the Dutch countryside, past dams and dikes to the Hotel des Indes where we join the main program and gather for a welcome reception.
