Anna Pavord,
a leading British horticulturist and author, whose latest
book, The Tulip, drew rave reviews on both sides
of the Atlantic, will be our special guide to these extraordinary
tropical gardens, many of which she knows intimately. Gardening
correspondent of the British newspaper, The Independent,
since 1986, Ms. Pavord has also been a TV presenter for
BBC2 and Channel 4. Currently, she is Chairman of the National
Trust's Gardens Panel and is also a member of the Editorial
Board of the highly regarded British magazine, Gardens
Illustrated.
