Historic House Hotels Garden Tours
Stay in a Historic House Hotel ~ Visit Nearby Gardens
These tours have been arranged and will be accompanied by Gwen Tutt in association with Historic House Hotels. In previous years, Gwen has arranged The Royal Oak Foundation's Garden Tours, which, since 2001, have raised $260,000 to support National Trust gardens. These two tours are exclusive to guests of Bodysgallen Hall and Hartwell House. Private garden visits have been arranged whenever possible with owners or Head Gardeners as guides. Garden writers and National Trust experts will also be invited to join the group. For spouses, partners or friends of garden tour guests with other interests who share their room, a dinner, bed and breakfast only rate is available. All proceeds from these tours will benefit National Trust Gardens.Historic House Hotels
In September 2008, Historic House Hotels, Ltd. and its interests in all its properties were given to the National Trust to ensure their long-term protection. The company was founded in 1979 to acquire and rescue run-down country houses with the objective of restoring them and converting them to luxury hotels; combining historically accurate standards with the provision of contemporary comfort for guests. Each building is at least 300 years old, and there are few hotels of such charm and historic interest as Hartwell House, Bodysgallen Hall and Middlethorpe Hall. Historic House Hotels is a Royal Oak corporate member and as such, Royal Oak members enjoy special concessions. www.historichousehotels.comBodysgallen Hall, North Wales
