Celebrating the Season
Usher in the holiday season with Royal Oak and decorations expert Benjamin Bradley and his partner Bruce Wayne, who have generously opened their home and winter wonderland to us again this year. We are delighted to return for wine, nibbles and good cheer surrounded by antique ornaments and beautifully handcrafted decorations all crafted between 1890 and 1930 and fastidiously collected over the years. This year we are likely to see a Scottish and English-themed tree along with other British-themed decorations in the den. One collection always on display are Dresden ornaments made of cardboard, finely pressed in molds and hand painted between 1880-1910. Their intricacy and attention to detail belie the fact that they are made of a humble material and their survival is a rarity.
