Royal Oak Board Member Pledges $300,000 to Endow National Lecture Series

The Royal Oak Foundation is very pleased to announce that Board member Stein Berre of New York, New York has made a bequest pledge of $300,000 toward the Fleming Challenge, which will create a dedicated endowment fund for Royal Oak’s national lecture series.  Supporter Ronald Lee Fleming of Cambridge, Massachusetts has established a matching fund that will match 50% of ANY TYPE OF GIFT OR PLEDGE received by June 15, 2015 up to $500,000.

Match the Fleming Challenge

Mr. Berre’s generous leadership support for the Fleming Challenge brings the total raised to $715,000 of the possible $1 million eligible for the Fleming Challenge match.  Please help us raise the remaining $285,000 in the next six weeks and ensure the future of our Drue Heinz lectures!

Mr. Berre serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors and has a strong commitment to Royal Oak’s work in partnership with the National Trust of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  His enthusiasm for the Drue Heinz Lectures serve as a bridge to the many years he spent living and working in London when visiting National Trust’s properties was an essential part of his life.
