Mr. Berre’s generous leadership support for the Fleming Challenge brings the total raised to $715,000 of the possible $1 million eligible for the Fleming Challenge match.  Please help us raise the remaining $285,000 in the next six weeks and ensure the future of our Drue Heinz lectures!

Mr. Berre serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors and has a strong commitment to Royal Oak’s work in partnership with the National Trust of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  His enthusiasm for the Drue Heinz Lectures serve as a bridge to the many years he spent living and working in London when visiting National Trust’s properties was an essential part of his life.

He said: “I’m honored to contribute to the future of Royal Oak’s Drue Heinz Lectures. Attending Royal Oak lectures has been a way for me to stay in touch with my passion for history and, specifically, for the UK. I deeply appreciate Royal Oak’s work in bringing these outstanding programs to cities across the United States, and I hope my support will ensure that future generations enjoy the same enriching opportunities.”

The Fleming Challenge seeks to raise a $1,500,000 endowment fund, which will provide approximately $75,000/year in income to support the lecture series.
